Residents and stakeholders are invited to participate in the first public meeting on Wednesday, 26 February 2025 about the proposed redevelopment vision for the King David Mowbray Golf Course (KDMGC) and surrounding vacant land in Pinelands. This transformative project will include affordable housing, commercial spaces and public facilities, designed to meet diverse community needs and support sustainable growth. The City of Cape Town invites residents and stakeholders to participate in an upcoming public engagement on the future of the King David Mowbray Golf Course (KDMGC) and adjacent City-owned land. This process will explore a proposed mixed-use development that aims to balance housing, commercial opportunities and public amenities while supporting sustainable urban growth.
This is an opportunity for the public to engage in an open, transparent discussion about the City's vision for this strategically located site. Your input will help shape a development that serves the needs of current and future generations.

The City’s Economic Growth Directorate is developing a vision and concept design for this strategically located land, which includes the Clyde Pinelands Football Club and the KDMGC. The site, bordered by Settlers Way (N2) to the south and Links Drive to the north, presents an opportunity to create an inclusive and sustainable urban precinct.
The proposed development is intended to:

• Deliver well-located, affordable housing
• Improve public spaces and amenities

Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, encourages all stakeholders to participate.

The proposed development presents an opportunity to enhance economic activity, improve public spaces, and reinvest revenue into essential services and infrastructure. We are committed to an open and collaborative engagement process to shape a shared vision for this site,’ said Alderman Vos.
